At Memonic we release new versions every two weeks. Usually we release smaller incremental changes that you as a user might not even notice. Not so this time. Since today the Memonic Collection has a new look & feel.

New design

We’ve been working behind the scenes with Rahel Vils from virtually handmade to create a lighter and more pleasing user experience. We hope you like it as much as we do.

Group improvements

But there is more. Two weeks ago we introduced Memonic Groups, a great way to share and collect items with your friends and co-workers. With this release we’ve added a lot of needed polish to the groups. For example you can now edit the Items of other group members. We’re exited that Memonic is slowly becoming a collaborative platform.

Chinese

We’ve also released the Chinese Version of Memonic today. 欢迎!

The summer holidays are approaching fast. For your next trip you need to collect a lot of information: Hotels, restaurants, sights, nightlife, and more. How to take all this information along? Well we think Memonic is a nifty tool for exactly this. For more read today’s press release (German)

This Tuesday we had our “label presentation” in front of the CTI Coaching Board.

Thanks to our coach Michael Sidler we underwent a thorough CTI sponsored coaching programme over the last 12 months. 

For quite the first time we were at the receiving end of the taxman: The CTI coaching programme for startups is simply first class. Event though – in my case – this is my third startup, there is always something new to learn and to improve. The CTI programme enabled us to get in touch with top notch experts, get exposure at a number of events, and profit from the wide network of personal relationships. Simply said: A programme worthwhile subscribing to.

Yesterday we celebrated mid-summer day, 7 months Memonic.com live, our friends and partners for their courageous support during the last months. Simply put: We celebrated our Summer Party.

Special guest was Andreas Ravn from Hamburg. He was accompanying on the piano life the game Argentina – Greece. In an atmosphere of the silent movies of the roaring 20-ties of the past century, we watched a game full of emotions and before and after had a chance to chat with our friends and partners about past and future joint success. Here some pictures from the event.

It’s heavy moving. After the back and forth we know now about an alternative occupation for our team…

Right at the start of the game we listen to the national anthems. 

And then finally the game started. Andreas by now in full swing playing everything from Tango to Greek folk tunes.

We feel extremely honored to have been awarded this year’s W.A. De Vigier Prize for Startups.

Since 1987 the W.A. De Vigier Foundation each year backs innovative and forward-looking business ideas with a cash prize worth 100’000 CHF.  Next to the prize money, the foundation supports us with coaching, contacts and a strong presence in the media. 

It’s just a little over half a year since the launch of Memonic.com and one and a half years since starting the company. To receive the W.A. De Vigier award - some refer to it as “The Swiss Startup Oscar”  - at this early stage is a great honor and an acknowledgement of our idea and its potential.
