New partnership: Blogwerk

Having successfully launched our first white label partnership with NZZ, we now are happy to announce our second partnership: with Blogwerk, a huge online blog publisher in the German speaking area!! With the power of Memonic’s white label solution in the background, all readers of Blogwerks five mega-popular blogs: neuerdings.com, imgriff.com, fokussiert.com, netzwertig.com und startwerk.ch, can now collect their favorite articles and keep them living on in their archives forever. And that is not all. Soon, happy readers will see what their friends are reading, get recommendations based on their blog preferences, and much, much more. It is a new age!

We are thrilled to be working with Blogwerk, and hope you all enjoy the partnership!

New Google Reader Integration: 3 Steps to Reading Pleasure

You’ve been asking for it — and now, here it is! We are happy to announce that last Wednesday, Memonic released its new Google Reader integration. This was made possible thanks to Memonic’s implementation of the OExchange protocol – more about that in a later blog post.

It only takes 3 steps:

  1. Open your Google Reader account and click “Settings” on the top right corner. Chose the first option: “Reader settings”. Naturally, these labels can vary according to the language you set.
  2. Click on the tab “Send to”. At the bottom of this page, you can find a link called “Create a custom link”. When you click it, a form will appear which needs to be filled out as follows (Tip: Copy & Paste):
    Data to enter:
  3. Name: Memonic
    URL: http://www.memonic.com/bookmarklet/oexchange?url=${url}&title=${title}
    Icon URL: http://s.memonic.ch/assets/oexchange/img/icon_16.png

  1. Finally, click “Save”. When you’re done, you can return to your RSS feeds and try it out. Select a random article, scroll to the bottom and click “Send to” and choose “Memonic”. A new page will be opened while the article is being saved. As this can take an second or two, you will only be displayed the title as well as the URL. After a reload of the page you will be able to see the full article. Enjoy!
